      Our business contributes to society by adding value to natural wood through our paper processing technology. All our employees believe in “giving back to nature by being conscious of global environmental protection and minimizing our stress on the environment”. We are contributing towards building a recycle-oriented society through our formulation of environmental management systems, and continuous improvement of pollution prevention.

      (Our products: sketchbooks, notebooks, binders, and loose-leafs etc)

      1. We will abide by the environmental laws and other environmental requirements that we accede to.
      2. We will eliminate wastefulness and promote efficiency through highly effective and functional organizational structure and management.
        • Reduction of waste generated by returned goods.
        • Reduction of defective products.
      3. Using recycled material such as recycled paper is important; however it can go only so far. Since a tree absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen during its growth phase, systematic planting of trees is an effective way of protecting global environment.
        We are doing the following to address this.
        • Aggressive use of paper made of trees from forest plantation.
        • Continual participation in forestation projects.

      Maruman Corporation has been contributing to society through our stationery and office supplies. We strongly believe in saving paper and using eco-friendly paper so that we preserve this precious earth for our children and generations to come.

      As part of our environmental policy, we have decided to participate in Oji Paper’s reforestation project in Laos.
